Brian C. Hastings, age 26, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2014 comforted by the love of numerous family members and friends.
Brian is survived by his loving parents, Tom and Linda (nee Stiglich) Hastings; his brother, Nick Hastings; grandparents, Larry and Helen Hastings, and Frank Stiglich; three aunts, Carol (John) Carroll, Mary (Phil) Kubinski and Sue (Tony) Montello; one uncle, Frank Stiglich; and cousins, Lisa, Corey, Daniel, Jessica, and Cole. Countless special friends whose lives Brian had deeply impacted also survive.
Preceded in death by his grandmother, Lillian Stiglich; two special and dear friends, Bob Jameson and Jon Yack.
Brian was a graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy and obtained his Bachelor's Degree at the University of St. Francis in Joliet. Brian was a former employee at Truth Restaurant in Joliet, the Department in Joliet, 22nd Century Media in Orland Park, and Earth's Healing CafA�AC. in Chicago. He was an avid runner and health enthusiast who really enjoyed all of nature's gifts. Brian thoroughly enjoyed exploring what the world had to offer, he knew no boundaries or limitations. Brian's naturally positive attitude and charisma deeply influenced the lives of everyone that he had met. His greatest joys in life were spending time with family and friends, strengthening his spirituality, attending concerts, going on vacations and sharing his knowledge of nutrition and health. Brian's ability to live life to the fullest is contagious. His legacy will live on forever. LIVESTRONG.

A celebration of Brian's life will begin on Saturday, April 5, 2014 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 11:45 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 12:30 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park at a later date. Visitation will be on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL from 2-9 p.m.
