Brian V. Bates

Brian V. Bates, age 47, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 with his loving family by his side.

Brian is survived by his parents, Gary and Linda (nee Watkins) Bates; sister, Amy (Aron) Bodoh; nephews, Austin and Alex Bodoh; best friend, Chris Blondin; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his feline companion, Milly.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Thelma (nee Howard) Bates, George and Louise (nee Howard) Watkins; uncles, Vernon Smith, Calvin Fields and Jim Scott.

Brian was born on August 24, 1970 in LaGrange, IL. He graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Broadcasting Communications and worked as a Talent Development Facilitator for PNC Bank.

Brian loved movies, music, theater, travel, and his pride and joy; nephews Austin and Alex.

He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Brian’s life will begin on Saturday, June 23, 2018 with a memorial visitation at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL) from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. - Pastor Jason Miley, officiating.

Per Brian’s wishes, Cremation Rites have been accorded.
