Bev Sitar (nee Allison), 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Bev was a member of St. Paul's Paulite for years, contributing to the community with her kindness and generosity.
First and foremost, Bev enjoyed being with her family. Over the years she rescued many feline friends.
Bev began her career at GMAC before taking time off to start her beloved family. Alongside her husband, Bev played a pivotal role in opening their family business, Sitar's Music, in New Lenox. Her commitment to their business left a lasting impact on the community. Eventually, Bev returned to GMAC, where she worked diligently until her retirement in 2003.
Bev is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Sitar Jr., and her parents, Glenn and Margaret Allison. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her family: daughters Karen (Mike) Nawa and Jennifer (Brian) Errthum; grandchildren Maggie Nawa, Matthew (Katie) Nawa, Joe Errthum, and Allison Errthum. Bev is also survived by her sister, Mary Wilson, sister-in-law, Kathy Sitar, and many wonderful friends who will forever remember her warmth and generosity.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28,2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Ave, Joliet, IL. Burial will follow to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd in Elwood, IL for a 2:00 p.m. at the committal services shelter.
