Beverly J. Kero, age 88 of Joliet, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 27, 2023 with her family by her side.
Born July 3, 1934 in Joliet, Beverly was a daughter of Barney and Mary (Zanzola) Bottino. She was raised and educated in Joliet and graduated from Providence High School with the class of 1952. Beverly would go on to marry Mr. Robert H. Kero, move throughout the east coast, and embark on many adventures. Eventually, they returned to Joliet, where they established a loving home and raised their cherished family. She was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of both St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Joliet, and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale, Illinois. Through the strength of her faith, and the support of her loving family, she was able to withstand many medical challenges throughout her life.
Beverly was truly a selfless person who made time for everyone. While raising her family, she also embraced her role as the beloved "neighborhood mom." Thanks to Beverly's exceptional generosity, and a bottomless kitchen of fantastic home-cooked foods, the Kero household was always filled with warmth and a sense of belonging, ensuring that it was never empty. If you needed help, you would call Beverly. She possessed an infectious laugh that was coupled with a great sense of humor. Through her warm and loving nature, she touched countless lives. Family was everything to her, especially her grandson, Tyler. Beverly will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her three children: Dan Kero, Bob Kero and Renee Kero; grandson: Tyler Kero; sister: Rosalie Bottino; sister-in-law: Nancy (late Dale) Bottino; sister-in-law: Helen (John) Trojahn; brother-in-law: Arnold (Sue) Kero; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

(nee Kelto) Kero; sisters-in-law: Eleanor (late Harold) Viviano, and Norma (late Barry) Peterson; and brothers-in-law: William Kero, and Reynold (Shirley) Kero.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Northeast Nephrology Consultants and the numerous other healthcare providers that helped her throughout the years.
