Beverly Jane (Tezak) Briese

Beverly Jane Briese (nee Tezak), age 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017 with her loving family by her side.

Beverly is survived by her loving children, Terry, Jr. (Gina), Jean (Gerald) Scott, Brian (Kristin), and Barbara (Christopher) Clark; cherished grandchildren, Nathan, Lorin, and  Elise Briese, Gustav, Vanja, Peregrine, Jocelyn, and Theoden Scott, Chloe and Mason Briese, Allysum, Madeline, and Sean Clark; sister, Charlotte (the late Pat) O’Connor; brother, Jim (Pat) Tezak; sisters-in-law, Pam (the late Tom) Tezak and Judy (Jack) Fitzgerald; brother-in-law, Tom (Sue) Briese; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her husband, Terrence J Briese Sr. (2016); parents, Francis “Shack” and Julia (nee Brown) Tezak; and brother, Tom Tezak (2017).

Beverly was born and raised in Joliet. Her family meant everything to her and her grandchildren were the light of her life. Beverly loved going on vacations, hosting holiday parties, playing games and any event that brought her family together. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Beverly’s life will begin on Monday, January 8, 2018 with a memorial visitation from 3:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 6:30 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435. Per Beverly’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Beverly and Terrence Sr. will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at a later date.
