At rest on Monday, June 16, 2008 at Morris Healthcare and Rehab Center with family by her side after a long illness. Survived by her two daughters Karen Lowry and Judith (Jeff) Hauge; grandchildren Jennifer (Tom) Stumo, Scott Lowry, Jacquelyn Lowry, Kristi (fiancA�?A�AC. Chris) Hauge and Kathleen Hauge; great-grandchildren Tyler, Andrew and Megan Stumo, Eden, Emma and Keira Sandor; and another great-grandchild expected in October; sister-in-law Irene (late Martin) Chinderle; special friend and caregiver Gail Valiente. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and caring friends. Preceded in death by her husband Frank E. Chinderle; parents George and Beatrice (nee Morger) Shinn; brother George R. Shinn; grandson Kevin Hauge and brother-in-law Henry (Mary) Chinderle. Betty was employed for several years as a bookkeeper, for the Diocese of Joliet retiring in 1991. Member of many organizations throughout the years. Altar and Rosary Society, Rosarian Club, Senior Club and numerous church committees of St. Joseph Parish in Joliet. St. Genevieve Society #108, KSKJ, Joliet Seniors Club, Cantigny Post V.F.W. #367 Ladies Auxillary, American Legion Post #1080 Ladies Auxillary, Slovenian Women"s Union Branch 20, and Joliet Rivals Auxillary. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed attending all her grandchildren"s ball games and school functions. Her hobbies include playing cards and Bingo with her friends. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

From where services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 10:30 AM to St. Joseph Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 5-8 PM.
