Bernice Ann Suski (nee Ursich) Age 88. Passed away peacefully at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home on December 23, 2005 with her family by her side. Bernice was born on July 3, 1917 to Dominick and Angela (Bolte) Ursich in Joliet, IL. She was a lifelong resident of Joliet. For the past six years she lived with her daughter and son-in-law. Survived by her loving daughter, Kathleen and her husband, Terry Holden; and their children, Corey Kathleen Holden, Matthew (Erin) Rittof and Stephen Rittof III. Also survived by her daughter-in-law, Donis (Kohlhagen) Suski; and granddaughters, Nichole Suski and Michelle (Paul) James; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Frances B. (Knezetich) Ursich; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband, Francis M. Suski Sr. (1995); son, Francis M. Suski Jr. (1999); parents, Dominick and Angela (Bolte) Ursich; sister, Angela (Joseph) Chmielewski; and brothers, Joseph and Robert Ursich. Bernice and her husband were involved for over 40 years in the former American Slovenian Home. She will be remembered by many for working the weekly fish fry for most of those years and having a good time at the club events. She was a member of the Cathedral of Saint Raymond Council of Catholic Women; the Slovenian Women's Union and the KSKJ. She was a graduate of Joliet Township High School, Class of 1935. Since moving in with her daughter, Bernice enjoyed traveling with Kathy, Terry and Corey. She was a regular breakfast patron at the Silver Spoon Restaurant in Joliet and she looked forward to her weekly beauty shop appointment at Carmie's Salon or with stylist, Michael Kuhel. She will especially be missed by her faithful friend, Buddy, the family dog. Bernice's family would like to thank the staff at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center (6th and 9th floors) for all they did for her during her stay. sion in his care of Bernice. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bernice's name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home would be greatly appreciated.
