Bernard E. Zoran

Bernard E. Zoran "Bernie," age 55, at rest on Sunday, January 12, 2014 with his loving family by his side.

Compassionate husband of Dawn Elizabeth Zoran (nee Baker) and caring stepfather to Allison Baker, both of Shorewood, IL; beloved son of Edward C. (the late Ann B.) Zoran of Joliet, IL; beloved brother of Daniel (Paula) Zoran of Boyer St. Beaufort, SC, Diane (Frank) Toth of Coal City, IL, and Julie (Tad) Bergan Joliet, IL; uncle of Brian, Andrew and Nicholas Reinhart, Mark and Matthew Zoran and A.J. Bergan.

Bernie was a lifelong Joliet resident, graduated from Joliet Catholic High School and retired from Caterpillar after 34 years of service. He was an avid collector and driver of his many Corvettes and a fixture on the local dart tournament scene, as both an organizer and player. He was also very fond of attending the picnics at St. Joseph Park every Sunday. Bernie had a strong sense of loyalty as a friend, a unique sense of humor with those in his company and a zest for life unmatched in most others. He will never be forgotten.



In lieu of flowers donations in Bernard's name to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.

Funeral services for Bernard will begin on Thursday, January 16, 2014 with a prayer service in the Tezak Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd., Joliet, IL from 3-8 p.m.
