Bernadine N. Piazza

Bernadine N. Piazza (nee Yuneman), age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 06, 2015.

Bernadine is survived by her loving children, Terrence (Barbara) Piazza, Daniel (Mary Lou) Piazza, James (Debbie) Piazza, Regina (Alex) Orta and Pamela (Michael) Coyne; grandchildren, Tracy (Jay) Dahlberg, Terry Jr.(Sally) Piazza and Tina (Brian) Gieseke, Dana Smid, and Nick (Megan) Piazza, James A. Jr.(Cheryl) Piazza, and Carrie Ann Piazza, Tanya (Juan) Rico, Angie (Juan) Cervantes, and Gina Orta, and Danielle Coyne; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (the late Harold) Zimmerman; sister-in-law, Marie (the late Joseph) Spencer; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Adolph "Al" Piazza; parents, John and Marie (nee Barwald) Yuneman; sisters, Eunice (Wayne) Wright and Phyllis Lener.

Bernadine was born and raised in Joliet. She enjoyed spending the first 5 years of her marriage traveling on the road with her husband who was a professional musician. She then started her own business, Ladies Touch Home Cleaning, for 15 years. Bernadine loved life and always put her family first. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the entire staff at Lakewood Nursing and Rehab Center in Plainfield and Angels Grace Hospice for the wonderful care provided to mom.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernadine's name to Angels Grace Hospice, 440 Quadrangle Drive, Suite G, Bolingbrook, IL 60440 would be appreciated.

A celebration of Bernadine's life will begin on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 with a service to be held in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3-7 p.m.
