Bernadine M. (Thomas) Budny

Bernadine M. Budny (nee Thomas), age 75, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 2, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Bernadine is survived by her beloved husband, Philip; loving children, Susan (Terry) Boggs, Steven (Christy) Simpson, Donna (Ricardo) Castellanos, Dan (Erica) Simpson, Matthew Simpson, Carin M. (Kerry Jr.) Richee, Kenneth P. (Ailene) Budny, Bruce (the late Kim) Bozek; many cherished grandchildren; six cherished great-grandchildren; dear sisters, Theresa (Chuck) Mazurowski, Virginia (the late Ken) Puls, and Jean (the late Roger) Lyons; dear brother, John (Cathy) Thomas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Gertrude (nee O’Niel) Thomas; sister, Mary Ellen Thomas.

Bunny was a member of the St. Anthony Senior Club. She was a proud alumni of the Academy of Our Lady along with her lifetime friends known to many as the Motley Crew.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home for the compassion, care, and kindness provided.

The family invites relatives and friends to gather at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL on Saturday, January 9, 2016 for a memorial visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. There will be no services held at the funeral home. Per Bernadine’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
