Basilia M. Hernandez

Maria Basilia M. Hernandez, age 73, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 21, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
Basilia is survived by her beloved children, Gabriel (Patricia Contreras) Hernandez, Osvaldo "Red" (Nancy) Hernandez, Juan M. (Yolonda Munoz) Hernandez; granddaughters, Brianna and Celeste Hernandez; two brothers, Mauro Martinez and Claro Martinez; and one sister, Maqrina Martinez.
Preceded in death by her husband, Eusebio P. Hernandez; her parents, Victoriano and Ricarda Martinez; granddaughter, Alyssa N. Hernandez; numerous brothers and sisters.
Basilia raised her family in Joliet and was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Joliet.
A celebration of Basilia's life will begin on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:45 a.m. then driving in procession to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will follow on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in procession from the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.to Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
