Basil C. Hicks, Jr., age 67, of Wilmington, at rest June 29, 2012. Survived by his beloved wife Arlene A�??CharlieA�?i�� nee Dempsey; his loving children Basil C. (Nicolle) Hicks, III and Janine Formenti; grandchildren Basil C. Hicks IV, Brayden Hicks, Brianna and Jacob Formenti; siblings Loretta A�??CookieA�?i�� Labiak and James (Chris) Hicks.
Preceded in death by his parents Marcella nee Ballun and Basil C. Hicks Sr., sisters Anita Hicks and Patricia (William) OA�??Hara.
Basil and Charlie started B & B Automotive with good friends and partners Bernie and Lydia Elwood in 1976. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.
A celebration of BasilA�??s life will begin on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 7:30 pm with a service in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life.
