Barbara L. (Hasty) Tomlinson

Barbara (nee Hasty) Tomlinson, age 72, passed away at Joliet Area Community Hospice on Thursday April 27, 2017 after a short battle with cancer.

She is survived by her brother, Tom Hasty; sisters, Linda Beatz and Judy Hasty; niece, Laurie (Ed) Dunbar; nephew, Denny (Amy) Hatton; great-niece, Bailey Dunbar; great-nephews, Thomas and Cody Hatton and her wonderful friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Lillian (nee Patch) Hasty; brother-in-law, Rich Beatz and sister-in-law, Betty Hasty.

Barb was a card carrying diehard Cubs Fan which finally paid off. She was born in Kankakee and was a lifelong resident of Joliet. Barb was the bartender and manager of The Keg restaurant downtown, where she took care of generations of customers for 39 years. She never forgot a face or a name or what they liked to drink. More recently, Barb was employed at Zobel's and the Croatian Cultural Club. She will be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank all of her wonderful friends for their help and support. She loved you all.

Per her request, cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Croatian Cultural Club (1503 Clement St, Joliet, IL 60435) to celebrate her life and her Cubbies' World Series victory. Please wear Cubs attire.
