Barbara J. Stuehm

Barbara J. Stuehm (nee Adams), age 80, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara is survived by her children, Robert Jr. (Joanne), Bryan (Shirley) and Bradley (Ann) Stuehm; three granddaughters, Brianne, Rachel and Sarah; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert F. Stuehm Sr.; one sister, Dolores (John) Dzak; parents, Joseph and Mary Adams.

Barbara was born and raised in Joliet. She was a member of the Mother's Club and the Council of Catholic Women. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Barbara loved to travel and going camping. Her family was her first priority and she always put them first. Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother who will be truly missed.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to caregivers, Abby, Emma and Michelle from VCP as well as her kind neighbors who watched over her and helped her in so many ways.

A celebration of Barbara's life will begin on Saturday, April 18, 2015 with a service to be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Celebrant Ken Plese officiating. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. Visitation will be on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4-8 p.m.
