Barbara J. Reynolds (nee Pilon)

Age 80 of Joliet, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Rock Run Place in Joliet.

Born October 10, 1942 in Joliet, Barbara was a daughter of Percy and Arna (Staley) Pilon. She was raised and educated in Joliet and graduated from St. Francis Academy with the class of 1960. Barbara had a dedicated career working as a tax consultant for H&R Block, and as a real estate agent until retiring. Following retirement, she moved to Cape Coral, Florida where she made numerous friends and many memories. In 2018 Barbara moved back to Joliet to be closer to family during her final years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her sister: Norma Henning; brothers: Ronald (Lynn) Pilon and Pete (Terry) Pilon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Reynolds; parents: Percy and Arna Pilon; brothers: Patrick and Robert Pilon; sister: Amy Allott and dear friend: Bill Otis.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Rock Run Place and to Gentiva Hospice for their continued support and care.

Per Barbara’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

A private interment will be held at a later date and Barbara will be laid to rest with family at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Joliet.
