Barbara R. Kociuba

Age 86 years, at rest on May 27, 2008 at Provena St. Joseph"s Medical Center, in Joliet.

Born February 5, 1922 in Joliet, IL. and has resided there until her death.

Survived by children Joseph E. (late Barbara) Kociuba of No. Bay Village, FL., Jane E. (late David) Polnaszek-Gray, Michael Gray of Hawthorn Woods, IL., and James E. (Sally) Kociuba of Plainfield, IL.; grandchildren Heather (Brian) Dybing of Kenosha, WI., Amber (Elliot) Dines of Hollywood, FL., Damen (Heather) Polnaszek of Bartlett, IL., James (Michelle) Kociuba of Joliet, IL., and Erica Kociuba of Plainfield, IL.; step-grandchildren Meg Grethen of Friendswood, TX., Michael Gray of Lake in the Hills, IL., and Amy Fambrough of Portola, CA.; thirteen great-grandchildren; step-sister and friend Francis Brencich. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Barbara was active in Slovenian Women"s Union Br. 20 of Joliet, Rosarian Club of St. Joseph"s Church, KSKJ, American Legion Auxillary Post 1080 of Joliet, parishioner of St. Joseph"s Church and it"s Restoration of Joliet and Senior Citizen"s Club of Joliet.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching Movie Westerns on TV and was an avid Cubs Fan.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Joseph A. Kociuba in December 2007; her mother Mary (Kramerich) Rozman Adamich; father Leopold Adamich; siblings Rose Zoran, Francis Meditz, Edward Rozman, Henry Adamich, Leo Adamich and Frank Adamich.

The Family of Barbara R. Kociuba invites relatives and friends to join them for a visitation on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until 12:00/Noon at the Funeral Home. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
