Audrey M. Kachelhoffer

Audrey M. Kachelhoffer, age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.

Audrey is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Patti (John) D’Ambrose, Bridget (Jeff) Curran, Mike (Tami) McGann, Danny McGann, David McGann and Katie (Kevin) Zihlman; 13 great-nieces and nephews and 3 great-great-nieces and nephew.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna (nee Boyd) Kachelhoffer; and sister, Mary Ann (Donald) McGann.

Audrey attended St. John Catholic Grade School and graduated from St. Francis Academy. She enjoyed working with children as a Teacher’s Aide at Joliet Montessori School and as a vision and hearing technician at the Will County Health Department.  Audrey loved spending time with her family. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Crest Hill. She had a love for horses and a keen eye for fashion. Audrey will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Audrey’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

A celebration of Audrey’s life will begin on Friday, June 23, 2017 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. John Cemetery in Joliet. Memorial visitation will be on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
