Arthur “Art” H. Schumann, age 90, at rest on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

Art is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 68 years, Olga (nee Kesich); children, David (Carol); Don and Debra (Jeff Wagnaar) Schumann; grandchildren, Kari Madden, Kelsey (Cesar) Del Rio, Danielle (David Ortiz) Schumann and Michael (Courtney) Schumann; great-grandchildren, Breck and Morgan Del Rio; sister-in-law, Neddie (Tom) Astorino; cousin, Mickey Prewitt; niece and nephews; devoted friends, Ely Grubisich, Peter Grubisich and Joann Honiotes.

Preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law; and daughter-in-law, Vicki J. Schumann.

Art was employed at Caterpillar Tractor Company for 42 years. He was a Lockport Police Department Commissioner for over 20 years. Art was a lifelong outdoorsman and sportsman who enjoyed Raccoon Acres with his family for over 50 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church would be appreciated.

Funeral services for Art will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 with a visitation at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Joliet from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
