Antonia L. Stec (nee Bajt) ""Toni""
Age 85, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Loving mother of Patricia (Late Robert) Tadej, Frank (Denise) Stec, Kathleen Stec, and Carol (Dave) Kaysen. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Preceded by her husband Frank Stec (1963); parents Jacob and Francis (Nee James) Bajt; seven sisters Mary, Evelyn, Francis, Ann, Rose and Theresa; four brothers Frank, George, Joe and Jack.
Antonia was born in Joliet and a life-long resident. She worked for Personal Products, Rust Craft Greeting Cards, American Can and Army Ammunition Plant. Her greatest achievement was raising her four children after her husband passed away. She always called her children the ""army,"" but her sister, Ann, renamed them the ""angels."" She was an excellent seamstress, sewing clothes for her children when they were young. Toni sewed throw blanket quilts that she gave away to others to brighten their day. Her sense of humor, understanding of sports and enjoyable spirit will be missed. Heaven needed another Beloved Mother.

Chapel services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. Visitation wil be Friday morning from 9a.m. until time of service. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
