Age 78, of San Antonio, TX at rest at the Christus VNA Hospice Santa Rosa Tuesday April 15, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 25, 1929, he was a graduate of Joliet Township High School (1947). He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953.
Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joan (nee Britz) Kozar; six loving children, Judy (William) Stickels of Elwood, Kathy (Edward) Batis of San Antonio, Tom (Linda) Kozar of San Antonio, Janet (Dan) Prado of Boerne TX, Bob Kozar of Joliet, John (Suzy) Kozar of New Lenox, eleven grandchildren Eric, Steven, Jeffrey, Mark, Alex, Mary, Adam, Bridgette, Matthew, Joseph, Sean. Three brothers, Nicholas (Delores) Kozar, Joseph (Mary Lou) Kozar, John (Aldona) Kozar; sister Carol Kozar; sisters-in-law, Lois Kozar, Carol Kozar, numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his daughter Joanie; parents, Nicholas and Mary (nee Macak) Kozar; sister Barbara Grace of Rockford, IL.; and brothers William of Minooka and James of Crest Hill.

From where private services were held Saturday April 19, 2008. According to Anton's wishes cremation rites were accorded.
