Anthony A�??ShadowA�?i�� J. Matesevic, 91, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2011 at home with his family by his side. Born in Joliet, he resided and worked in Los Angeles, CA in the SW Carpenters Union, retiring at the age of 57. He then moved back to Crest Hill 9 years ago, residing with his sister, the late Dorothy Unmisig and his niece Charlene Voitik. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Marine Corp as a Sergeant.

Anthony was well known for his generosity and his kindness to everyone.

He is survived by his brother Edward (Olga) Matesevic, his sister Delores (the late Joseph) Janes, and his special niece and caretaker Charlene Voitik. He is also survived by many more nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents John V. and Dora (nee Bratina) Matesevic; his brothers John, Nicholas, Joseph, Frank and Michael Matesevic; his sisters Anna Strusa-Markovich, Catherine (Joseph) Tomac, Mary Lou (Al) Ballun and Dorothy (Richard) Unmisig.

The family would like to give a special thank you to ShadowA�??s caretakers Tracy Bingham and Tom Kompare and to Dr. Daniel Co and his staff.

A Celebration of ShadowA�??s life will begin on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 with prayers at the funeral home chapel at 9:30 am then in procession to St. Ann Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery, Crest Hill. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life.
