Anthony R. Kowalczyk

August 30, 1947 — November 19, 2013

Age 66, entered eternal life on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 with his loving family by his side.

Tony is survived by his loving wife and his best friend of 44 years, Linda L. Kowalczyk (nee Momsen); two adoring and loving children, Ginny Kowalczyk of Chicago and T.J. Kowalczyk of Hermosa Beach, California; and three sisters, Patricia (the late Ed) Siebers, Ginger (the late Johnny) Ryan, and Joretta (Ken) Raymond; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Ann Kowalczyk; Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Myrton and Virginia Momsen; two brothers-in-law, Ed Siebers and Johnny Ryan.

Tony graduated with top honors and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Dayton in 1969. He was a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at the University of Illinois. He graduated with high honors as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois and was also elected the American Kappa Upsilon in 1973. Tony earned lifetime membership with the American Dental Association and was a member for 40 years. Tony and Linda moved to Manhattan in 1973 where they started a family and opened their dental practice. Tony had a passion for Lionel trains which he shared with his family, friends, and his patients. He enjoyed visiting with good friends and family by the pond with an occasional Brandy Manhattan.

Donations may be made in Tony's name to The Joliet Area Community Hospice.

A celebration of Tony's life will begin with a visitation on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet. Cremation rites will be accorded.
