Anthony G. Ketz, age 102, entered eternal life on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Survived by one brother Peter Ketz; one sister Leona (late Rudolph) Bregar; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Mary (nee Stimac) Ketz; his loving wife Frances (nee Sinkovec); four brothers George (Frances), Joseph, Louis (Anna), and Frank (Marge) Ketz; two sisters Anna (Mario) Sabac and Rose (Edward) Zaletel and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anthony was born in Marianna, Arkansas and resided in Joliet since 1912. He retired in 1974 as an inspector from Caterpillar Tractor Company after 25 years of service. Anthony was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a corporal in the Middle Eastern Theatre. Anthony was a member of the Joliet Moose #300 and the Croatian Cultural Club. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan, fisherman, and polka dancer and enjoyed fixing lawnmowers. Anthony lived a long healthy life and will be greatly missed by all.

A Celebration of AnthonyA�??s life will begin on Thursday, January 17, 2013 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home from 8:30 am until time of prayers at 10:00 am, then moving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.
