Anne Marie Picco (nee Mihelich) Age 92. Born March 26, 1917 in Joliet. Passed away Monday, December 28, 2009 at home with her loving family at her side. Anne leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter Christine (Roy Jr.) Duchene, her son Thomas (Lavon) Picco of Joliet; grandchildren Brent and Kevin Duchene, Rita (Ryan) Hughes, Kristina, Kate and Jenny Picco of Joliet; sister Mildred Briski of Joliet; brother John Mihelich of Kent, Washington; sisters-in-law Lainey Mihelich, Betty Picco and Louise Bucciarelli of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews who were all very special to her.
Preceded in death by her husband Peter Picco Jr.; her parents Joseph and Antonia (Tushek) Mihelich; her sister Elizabeth Mihelich; brothers Rudy, Joseph, Tony, Peter, Andy, Frank and Lawrence Mihelich. A special thank you to her truly compassionate and caring Physicians Dr. Jennifer Drancik, Dr. Ellen Gustafson, and Dr. Mark Fritz. Also a thank you to her caregiver Galyna, and special neighbor John Querio. Anne enjoyed life and especially playing bingo. She so missed her many bingo friends during these last few months of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice or St. Mary Nativity Church. From were services will be held Thursday December 31, at 9:30 AM to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery Visitation Wednesday from 3 to 8 PM
