Anna Sophia Powers, age 91, of Cumming, GA, was born May 9, 1921 in Joliet, IL and passed away on Thursday, April 04, 2013.
Survived by her son, Richard D. (Carol) Powers of Johns Creek, GA; two grandsons, Brett A. (Jennifer) Powers of Cumming, GA and Cory S. (McCreary) Powers of Deerfield, IL; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Clara (Frank) Joyce of Cumming, GA; also survived by numerous nieces, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Loren Powers; her parents, Maria (nee Belasich) and John Anton Uremovic; sister, Diana Uremovic and a brother, Daniel A. Uremovic.
Anna attended Joliet Township High School and was a member of the ROTC. Before retiring, she enjoyed working as a seamstress, mainly with wedding and bridal gowns.
A Celebration of AnnaA�??s life will begin on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00 am with prayers at the funeral home chapel, then moving in procession to Woodlawn Memorial Park for a committal service to begin at 11:30 am. Visitation will be on Monday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life.
