Ann Louise Washer (nee Spreitzer), age 92, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
Ann is survived by her sister, Jean (the late James) Anderson; brother, Edward (Jackie) Spreitzer; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many great-nephews and nieces.
Preceded in death by her husband Eugene Washer (1981); parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Levstik) Spreitzer; siblings, Mary (Tony) Smolich, Liz (Joe) Rudman, Theresa (Nick) Rudman, Margaret (Joe) Bregar, Frances (Tony) Panian, Bernice (Frank) Raspolich, Joseph (Edna) Spreitzer; and nephew, Joseph Spreitzer.
Ann was a member of the American Legion Post #1080 Women’s Auxiliary, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet, St. Joseph Seniors, St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society, Slovenian Union of America and St. Genevieve KSKJ Lodge #108. Ann was born and raised in Joliet and was happiest when she was making strudels, noodles and cookies. She will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Ann’s life will begin on Friday, April 15, 2016 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
