At rest, Friday, June 13, 2008 at Our Lady of Angels Home. Loving mother of John (Charlotte) Traven, Patricia (Traven) Schager. Devoted Grandmother of Leann (Paul) Passolano, Anton (A.J.), Scott (Tricia) and Christine Schager, John Traven, and four great grandchildren; one sister Julia (late William) Crouch, one brother Edward (Rose) Horvat; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by husband Edward Steinbach, parents Joseph and Josephine (nee Cankar) Horvat, step-son Donald Steinbach, sister Helen Horwath, brother Joseph Horvath.
Ann was born in Joliet and was a life-long resident. She retired from the County of Will after ten years of service, previously worked for Hart-Schaffner Marx and was active with Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America having served as president of her local for many years; member and past president of Ladies Auxiliary Legion Post 1080, Joliet Rivals Ladies Auxilliary, KSKJ, Cantigny Post Ladies Auxiliary 367, Joliet Moose and served as democratic precinct committee woman for over 50 years. Donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. At Ann"s request cremations rites were accorded. The family of Ann J. Steinbach invites relatives and friends to join them in celebrating a memorial mass at Our Lady of Angels Home Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 10 AM. Family will receive relatives and friends at Our Lady of Angels Home starting at 9 AM. No funeral home visitation.
