Ann F. Quigley (nee Dolinshek), age 96, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
Ann is survived by her loving children, Dennis (Collette), Robert (the late Marie) and Brian (Maribeth) Quigley; grandchildren, Matthew Quigley and Jessica (Kenneth Jr.) Knezetic, Danielle Miles, Marikate (Jaime) Manzo, Staci (Bryan) Myers, Christine (Kevin) Miller; great-grandchildren, Nina and Noah Manzo, Faith Softcheck, Joseph and Steven Miles, Carter and Blake Miller, Eli and Lawson Myers, Sophia Knezetic; sister-in-law, Margaret Borghesi numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis R. “Jim” Quigley (2010); parents, Frank and Mary (nee Videtich) Dolinshek; sisters, Marie (Ben) Kuban, Bernadine (Raymond) O’Connor, Delores (John) McDonald and Theresa (Eugene) Peterson; and daughter-in-law, Marie Quigley (2016).
Ann was born on April 8, 1921 and raised in Rockdale, IL. She reflected great compassion and independence as a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a strong willed and independent woman who was determined to take care of herself. Ann worked at Liberty Control in Shorewood and Dirksen Elementary School for many years. She was a founding member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Joliet. Ann will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
A celebration of Ann’s life will be held privately. Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Francis.
