Ann Widlak (nee Krajeski)

July 26, 1913 — January 6, 2008

Ann Widlak, beloved daughter of the late Michael Krajeski and the late Alice (nee Nickleski) Krajeski, passed away on January 6, 2008 at the age of 94.

Ann was born on July 25, 1913 in Chicago, and spent most of her life in the Garfield Ridge community before retiring to Crest Hill IL at the age of 87.

She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Widlak; loving mother of Frederic (Prudy) Widlak, Alan (Maria) Widlak, and Neil (Trudy) Widlak; cherished grandmother of Alexis Widlak, Natalie Widlak, Christopher Widlak, and Victoria Widlak; dear sister of Richard (Margaret) Krajeski; much-loved aunt of Norman Kielar, Roseanne Mott, Peggy Jo Matanic, Elizabeth Clark, Dennis Widlak, Ronni Benedetti, and James Wozniak; and fond great aunt of Linda Berg, Susan Krankel, Kenneth Kielar, Jr., Michael Kielar, Sandy Gardner, John Kielar, Karen Kielar, Michelle Goode, Vicky Widlak, and Kevin Widlak. Her sister, Rosalie Kielar, and her nephew, Kenneth Kielar, Sr., preceded her in death.

Ann enjoyed reunions with her friends of the Harrison High School Class of 1931. She retired from Jensen Corp. after 22 years of employment, and actively served as President of the Byrne School Mothers Club, Cub Scout Den Mother, and choir member of St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church. She was a long-time member and officer of the St. Mary Star of the Sea Group #743 of the Polish Women"s Alliance of America.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the PWA Charitable and Educational Foundation, 6643 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago IL 60631.

Tezak"s Home to Celebrate Life

From where services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2007 at 9:30 AM to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1711 Burry Circle Drive, Crest Hill IL for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, State Street and Keepataw Drive, Lemont IL. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-8 PM.
