Ann M. Horvatin "Nan" (nee Dolinshek), age 86, at rest on Sunday, March 29, 2015 with her loving family by her side.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Raymond Horvatin Sr.; children, Raymond "Biff" Jr. (Ann) Horvatin, Paul J. (Bridget) Horvatin, and Jim (Linda) Horvatin; grandchildren, Raymond "R.J.," and Andrew J. Horvatin, Shanna, Paul Kyle and Jenell Horvatin, and Chris Clancy; great-granddaughter, Addison Clancy; one sister, Nancy (the late Raymond) Wagner; sister-in-law, Shirley (the later Edward) Dolinshek; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Dolinshek; siblings, Mary (George) Hirsch, Edward Dolinshek, Dorothy (Anthony) Jerisha, Margaret (William) Plankar and Jeanie (Michael) Pierson.
Nan was born and raised in Joliet, IL and attended St. Joseph Grade School. She graduated from St. Francis Academy in 1946. Nan was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society, K.S.K.J. St. Francis Lodge #29, an original member of the St. Joseph Church Cadets, St. Joseph Seniors Club and the Will County Seniors Club. Nan was an excellent seamstress and loved making clothing for her family. She was also a wonderful cook and was excellent at baking potica. Nan loved to spend time with her husband, children and grandchildren and enjoyed going on fishing and camping trips with her boys. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.
Donations in Ann's name to St. Joseph Church in Joliet or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
A celebration of Ann's life will begin on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
