Ann V. (Hanis) Furto

Ann V. (nee Hanis) Furto, age 93, entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her residence.
Ann is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Frank Furto; loving daughters, Kathleen “Kathy” (Dick) Pucel, Susanne (Tim) Brody, Marilyn (Paul Jr.) Rak, and Francine Blackburn; nine cherished grandchildren, Shane (Edna) Pucel, Aaron Pucel, Mira Brody, Ian Brody, Tiffany (Drew) Mucci- Heitman, Gwen Rak, Syndey Rak, Dan Blackburn, and Rachel (Joey) Carlson; one cherished great-granddaughter, Sadie Carlson; loving sister, Helen (Felix) Pasteris; brother, Steve (Shirley – deceased); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her dearly loved parents, Joseph and Mary Hanis; siblings Joe, Marie, Mike, John, Bill, Betty Wells, Rose and Jack at infancy, and Marge Kaufmann, Paul, Ed; one grandson Jason Pucel.
Ann was born May 2, 1922 in Mancelona, Michigan. Ann loved to bowl and was an avid gardener. She loved to cook for her family and will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
A Celebration of Ann’s life will begin on Thursday, March 31, 2016 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1800 Dearborn Street, Crest Hill, IL. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Romeoville, IL. There will be no services at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Pisut Funeral Services.
