She was a very faithful woman who loved God, her family and friends with all her heart, soul and mind. Angie was a member of the Church of St. Anthony, Joliet. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to so many. She loved when the family was together and always made sure there was plenty of homemade Italian food for everyone.
Angie was born in San Vittorino, Italy, emigrated in 1958 and became a very proud American Citizen. She was a dedicated wife and mother who always put her family first. She worked for Al Baskin as a seamstress for 12 years. She loved to cook and enjoyed preparing meals for members of the American Italian Cultural Society (AICS) of which she was a founding member. She also enjoyed making the pasta sauce for the monthly AICS Spaghetti Dinners.
Angie was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and fought a valiant battle for several years. She received wonderful care from Dr. Shuo Ma her oncologist and the entire team at Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks and admiration for the loving care she received while at Northwestern.
