Angela C. Chytracek

Age 87, at rest on Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice with her family by her side.

Survived by her son, Michael W. (Maureen nee Majetic) Chytracek; grandchildren, Michael (Lisa), Marc (Cassandra), Matthew and Scott Chytracek; great-grandchildren, Colin and Reilly Chytracek and Finn Chytracek; one sister, Frances (Don) Trautner; one brother, William (late Nelda) Gutnik; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Frank Chytracek; parents Frank and Mary (nee Mazi) Gutnik; one sister, Mary R. (George) Vercellotti; six brothers, Frank (Veronica), Joseph (late Lee), John (Florence), Anthony, Stanley and Edward (Connie) Gutnik.

Angela was a Member of the CCW of St. Joseph Church in Rockdale and was nominated and accepted for three-plus years as 'Woman of the Year', school board member of the Rockdale Public School, Slovenian Women's Union and Rockdale War Mother's Organization.

Angela was an avid cook who started at Brozman's and also worked at Syl's Restaurant for 35+ years.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela's name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

From where services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM to St. Joseph Church in Rockdale for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 3-8 PM. The CCW of St. Joseph Church will meet on Friday at 3:00 PM.
