Age 74, at rest Monday, May 18, 2009 at his home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Survived by his beloved wife of fifty- three years Mary T. ""Mitzi"" (nee Doll) Kozak, loving father of Denise (Rick) Kostelec and Larry (Debbie) Kozak, dearest grandfather of Chris and Angie Kostelec, Jessica and Kristi Kozak, four sisters Rosemary (late Dan) Downey, Nancy (Jack) Markley, Georgine (Jim) Pagnucco and Ruth (Ray) Jankowski, two sisters-in-law Nancy Talaga and Nancy (late Joe) Doll, one brother-in-law Larry (Sandy) Doll also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents Andrew Sr. and Josephine (nee Zaletel) Kozak, two brothers Adam and John Kozak. Andy was born in Joliet and was a lifelong resident of the Joliet area. He was a 1953 graduate of Lockport Twp. High School, and attended Joliet Junior College. Retired in 1996 from Copley Newspapers as Vice President of Production, after over twenty-six years of service. After retirement he worked for Woodruff Golf Course. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church and Holy Name, Lockport Moose, and Thirsty Night Golf League. He was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, and euchre player. Loved his family, singing and dancing. Memorial contributions to St. Mary Magdalene Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice in his name would be appreciated.
