Aloysius A. Getson

Born in Joliet, IL., he was a resident of Crest Hill for 54 years, most recently living in Decatur, IL. Graduate of Joliet Central High School. A United States Navy Veteran on the USS Johnston serving in the Battle of Leyte Gulf. He retired from Commonwealth Edison after 41 years of service. Member of the V.F.W. Aloysius was an avid gardener.
Survived by his daughter Carol (Randy) Henderson; grandson Brent Henderson; three step-grandchildren; sisters Mildred (Joseph) Pruss, Cecilia (Joseph) Wolf, Charlotte (late John) Brown. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his wife Ina (nee Hansen) Getson; parents Charles E. and Anna V. (nee Surinak) Gecan; and brother Joseph (late Sue) Getson.
Tezak"s Home to Celebrate Life From where services will be held Friday November 2, 2007 at 9:30 AM to At. Anne Catholic Church for a Mass Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday 4-8 PM.
