Allan R. Kath Age 60. Passed away peacefully Thursday, December 29, 2005. Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sandra H. (nee Hamachek) Kath; dearest father of Heather S. Kath (Michael A. Betts) of Quincy, IL and Ryan A. (Emily J.) Kath of Edwardsville, IL; a brother, Larry L. (Sandy) Kath; sisters, Darlene (Alan) Nardi and Charlene (William) Loppnow. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Fern Kath; and his brother, Merwin in infancy. Born in Two Rivers, WI and graduate of University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. Went on to become a police court reporter, sports editor and feature writer for the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. In later years, Al worked in the field of fraternal life insurance with Western Catholic Union and was the Communication and Membership Manager for American Slovenian Catholic Union (KSKJ) since 2001. Al served for the National Fraternal Congress of America as the Secretary/Treasurer of the fraternal section and was an officer of the Illinois Fraternal Congress. Also a member of the Joliet Exchange Club, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order, Frankfort, IL and numerous volunteer organizations. Al was also a devoted Packers fan. A Memorial Fund is being established for Al's favorite charities.
