Passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born April 5, 1928 to the late John and Mary Rozich (Ilenich).
Alice was a Joliet resident her entire life attending St. Joseph Joliet Grade School and Joliet Township High School.
Worked many years as a bookkeeper for her cousin, Joe Rozich's accounting practice. Long-time office manager/bookkeeper for Yack Sheet Metal, Inc. retiring in 1988.
She married her best friend and love of her life, Charles E. Stiglic Jr. on October 7, 1950 at St. Joseph Church, Joliet, presided by her cousin Fr. George Kuzma.
She enjoyed family vacations, traveling with friends, hosting family parties and monthly card parties with her girlfriends.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilynn (Terry) Juricic and Charlene (Doug) Fumagalli, one son, John (MaryJo) Stiglich, seven grandchildren, Terry (Christina) Juricic, Katie (Dan) Markun, Lauren (Jim) McFarland, John (Beth) Stiglich II, Drew, Ross and Troy Fumagalli; five great-grandsons, Mathew and Jacob Juricic and Daniel, Andrew and Nathan Markun; one great-granddaughter Quinn McFarland. She is survived by one sister Margaret (late Thomas) Quane.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Rozich (Ilenich), one step-sister Christine (Francis) Stimac, and one sister Mary (John) Trippon.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Senior Group, KSKJ American Slovenian Catholic Union, St. Joseph's Rosarian Club and the Slovenian Women's Union.
A special thank you to her caregivers Jan and Maria Bachra , Dr. Gus Pedraza and the staff of the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Joliet Area Community Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Alice's life will begin on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet. Inurnment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be NO VISITATION OR SERVICES HELD AT THE FUNERAL HOME. Per Alice's wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
