Alice M. "Al" (Ugoletti) Barbosa

Alice M. (nee Ugoletti) Barbosa, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018, with her loving caregiver of ten years, Helen by her side.

Alice is survived by her loving children, Michael Barbosa, Constance Anderson, the late Susanne (Ronald) Zralka and Julie Barbosa; grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremy) Johnson, Victoria Anderson, Samantha Anderson and Elizabeth Zralka; great-grandson, Zander Johnson; sister, Anita (late Bernard) Lamkin. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Jose A. Barbosa (February 29, 2008); daughter, Susanne Zralka; parents, Aristo and Aldovina (nee Galli) Ugoletti, and brother, Louis (Bella) Ugoletti.

Alice was born and raised in Joliet, a graduate of Joliet Township High School (Central Campus), class of 1948 and St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1951. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital and US Steel.

Alice was a lifelong vegetable and flower gardener. She enjoyed playing cards, was a bargain shopper and the world’s best cook. She was a cat and dog lover and always had a great sense of humor.

A celebration of Alice's life will begin on Thursday, March 1, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to the Church of St. Anthony, Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
