Age 72 of Joliet, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019 at his home.

Born September 15, 1946 in Chicago, Alfred Charles was a son of Alfred, Sr. and Marjorie (Johnson) Beyer. He was raised and educated in Chicago and following high school graduation, proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Al was a member of the Moran Athletic Club in Joliet and had a passion for cars, especially muscle cars. He also loved animals including cats and squirrels. Al will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Marjorie; two daughters: Rhiannon and Ryan Beyer; step-daughter: Erin French; grandchildren: Dominic, Mackenzie, Alexzander, Ethan, Liam, Blake, Ryan, Natalie, Emilee, Hope and Maddox; sisters: Diane Duchene and Bonnie Nicholson-Worley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Al was preceded in death by his father, Alfred, Sr.; grandson-in-infancy: Clayton and one brother.

Per Al’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Guests wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery welcome center no later than 9:45 a.m.
