Alejandro Herrera, age 40, at rest on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
He is survived by his wife, Susan R. Herrera (nee Virzint); son, Joshua A. Herrera; daughter, Gianna A. Herrera; son, Alexander D. Herrera; mother-in-law, Leslie K. Virzint; father, Adalberto Herrera; and mother, Janie Castro.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, Vicente Herrera Loya; grandmother, Eva Rivas; uncles, Gabriel Herrera and Ramon Herrera; and father-in-law, Donald W. Virzint.
Alejandro was a proud member of the Local 150 and was employed at United Rentals, “Im in charge” he would always say. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for his wife and kids. He always knew how to make his wife smile and made it known that he loved his children more than anything. Alejandro loved to entertain, he was the life of the party and could always be found at the grill, cooking for his friends and family. He also enjoyed sitting by the pool having a few cocktails. Alejandro would help anyone in need, he was quick to help someone work on their car, or tear something apart in attempt to try and fix it while his wife “hoped” he would be able to get it back together.
A celebration of Alejandro’s life will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following visitation.
