Alberto Alvarez Magaña

Age 45 of Lockport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox with his family by his side.

Born September 12, 1978 in Joliet, Alberto was the son of Alberto V. and Teresa (Alvarez) Magaña. He was an artist, car enthusiast and president of the Nice Dreams Car Club, but most of all a father. Family was everything to Alberto, especially his kids. No matter who you were, he would treat you like you were a part of his family and help in any way that he could. Alberto will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but never forgotten.

He is survived by his father: Alberto Villa Magaña; wife: Frances; children: Jose, Pedro, Juanita and Maria “Lil Mama”; grandchildren: Antonio, Santo and Sebastian, as well as many many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, God children, friends and brothers from other mothers.

Alberto is preceded in death by his mother: Teresa Alvarez Magaña.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service which will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.

Per Alberto’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made as gifts in Alberto’s name to the family for their distribution.
