On Tuesday February 13, 2024, in Joliet, Illinois, at the age of 17 years, 8 months, and 1 day, Aiden Donavan Williams completed his earthly mission.
Aiden A.K.A. “Big Dawg,” “King Aiden,” & “Boss Baby” made his grand entrance into this world on June 12, 2006, bringing unspeakable joy to his loving family. With his dog Pumpkin, his “Best Friend” by his side, Aiden greeted each day with a smile no matter what difficulties he faced. He was a senior at Joliet Central High School where the staff knew him to be a motivator who encouraged his classmates to do their best and never stop trying. He never met a stranger and lifted the spirits of everyone he encountered. If you ever met Aiden, even for the slightest second, you know he was the life of the party and could mesmerize you with a single smile. He was a young man of many hats, literally and figuratively. King Aiden was seldom seen without a hat to complete his ensemble. He was an eclectic soul who loved music, from Old School Soul to Frank Sinatra. And just like Sinatra, Aiden definitely did things “his way.” Although playing with “Best Friend” was one of his favorite activities, he also was a master architect in the world of Minecraft. When he was not drawing, you could find him playing his acoustic guitar, serenading with his karaoke machine anyone who would listen, or taking pictures of those he loved. And from all the selfies he left for us to cherish, it looks like he REALLY loved himself! Most importantly, Aiden had a deep love for his family who doted over him at every given opportunity. He cherished the time they would spend together playing practical jokes on each other and enjoying family outings together.
Aiden was preceded in death by his grandparents Velma Carter “Momma”, Henry L. Bonner, and David Helms; great grandparents William A. Patton, Jr. “Pawpaw”, Opal Maxine Patton, Lena Mae Louis, and Marshall Williams.
He leaves to carry on his memory his devoted parents: Desiré “My Beautiful Angel” and Henry “Ol’ Man Bald Head” Williams; his siblings: Aaron Williams, Aaron Helms, Leslie Williams Vaughn, Marshall Williams, Jadon Williams; two nieces: Arielle and Honestee Williams; one nephew, Aaron (AJ) Williams, Jr., and his grandmother, Deborah Wilson. He will also be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and individuals he loved and touched deeply.
