Agnes M. (Hunter) Zugel

Agnes M. Zugel (nee Hunter), age 79, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023.

Agnes is survived her three sons, David A. Zugel, Edward Jr. (Tina) Zugel and Scott Zugel; grandchildren, Lauren (Anthony) Miroballi, Kyle (Jessica Garvin) Zugel, Sara Carlson and Joey Carlson; great-grandchild, Weston Zugel; one sister, Susan McGuire; and nieces, Christine Hunter and Susan McGuire.

Preceded in death by her husband, Edward Zugel Sr.; parents, Arthur and Lorraine (nee Frost) Hunter; siblings, Arthur Hunter Sr., Raymond Hunter, Alan Hunter and Paul Hunter; and nephew, Arthur Hunter Jr.

Agnes worked as a LPN at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing with her husband, Edward. One of her greatest joys was hosting family get togethers; from cooking and playing cards to laughing and making memories that will never be forgotten. Agnes will be truly missed.

A celebration of Agnes life will begin on Sunday, March 19, 2023 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family invites relatives and friends to join them at the funeral home for a chapel service on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Agnes will be laid to rest with her husband, Edward Sr. at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet following the chapel service.
