Adolfo Elias Lechuga Sr., age 51, died at his home on November 29, 2017 in Springfield, MN.
Adolfo was born on May 16, 1966 to parents, Mary Garcia and Adolfo Deleon Lechuga in Los Angeles, CA. Adolfo grew up in Joliet, IL and San Antonio, TX surrounded by extensive family and friends. He considered family relationships and friendships to be of great value and continued these close bonds his entire life. Adolfo moved to Minnesota upon starting a family of his own. After moving to Minnesota, Adolfo worked at AMPI in New Ulm, MN and Ochs Brick in Springfield, MN. He shared his life with Sharon Theis. Adolfo devoted his last nine years of life to solely raising his children and grandchildren and to his hobbies of fishing, cooking, outside get-togethers, camping, traveling, music & dancing and enjoying friendships.
Adolfo was a kind and spirited person with a passion for life. He is best remembered for his witty sense of humor, positive outlook on life and strong-hearted determination. He would always help a fellow person in need and extend his time and home to those he knew.
Adolfo Lechuga is survived by siblings, Hector, Vicky, Andy, Elba, Arnold, Kiara, and Iris; his daughters, Alyssa (24) of Sleepy Eye, MN, Morgan (17) of Bemidji, MN, Anya (13) and Juliana (9) of Springfield, MN; and sons, Adolfo Jr (23) of Sleepy Eye, MN and Devon (19) of St. Cloud, MN.; and six grandchildren, Miguel Jr, Orion, Noe Jr., Luciano, Ivan, and Valencia.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nitsa Lechuga-Hillesheim; brother-in-law, Michael Hillesheim; and daughter, Amber Elena Lechuga.
A celebration of Adolfo's life will begin with a visitation on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road - Joliet, IL) with a chapel service at 6:00 p.m. As it was Adolfo's request, cremation rites will follow. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m at Springfield Community Center in Minnesota. Mr. Lechuga will be buried in a private ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Adolfo’s life.
